To fund the search for a cure, we need your help. The Epilepsy Research Foundation must take advantage of this unique opportunity to build on previous advances. Exploring new opportunities is critical to providing even greater benefits and relief to future generations. We must improve our understanding of the effects of epilepsy on society and help reduce its stigma. And we must make a commitment to develop the increased knowledge and new techniques that will give us the tools to prevent not only seizures, but epilepsy itself.

The Epilepsy Research Foundation is committed to raising the funds needed to bring about real research advances. To jumpstart this effort, a parent has offered a $1 million matching fund opportunity. And because administrative costs of the Epilepsy Research Foundation will be covered by the parent organizations, 100 percent of every gift to the Epilepsy Research Foundation will be dedicated to innovative research. That’s why we are asking you for a multi-year commitment.

Pledges to support the Epilepsy Research Foundation can be extended over a period of up to 5 years. All monies raised will directly fund research programs aimed at discovering a cure for epilepsy and seizures. Funding decisions will be based upon competitive review by leading scientists of the scientific merit of the proposed project, as well as its potential to lead to breakthroughs in the search for a cure.
