Wiki Help

The epilepsy.com Wiki is a collaborative tool that allow users to create, edit, and modify pages on this website. Most pages of epilepsy.com feature "Epilepsy Therapy Project Content," which is written by the epilepsy.com Editorial Board, as the first view of the page. The second tab, labeled "Wiki Content," is the user-generated section that can be edited by all logged-in members.

User-generated (Wiki) content is intended to supplement, discuss, and/or provide differing views on the Epilepsy Therapy Project content. Members are encouraged to add their personal expertise into these sections, developing a thorough and deep source of information for all who visit epilepsy.com. Wiki entries are not designed to address items such as personal stories or unpublished works, but instead should aim to provide additional background information, notes, and details about the topic at hand.

A Note about User-Generated (Wiki) Content
The epilepsy.com Wiki is a user-generated section within epilepsy.com. Content is not monitored nor consistently reviewed by the epilepsy.com Editorial Board. Epilepsy.com therefore cannot guarantee the accuracy of any content edited with the Wiki sections. While epilepsy.com, the Epilepsy Therapy Project, and its partners encourage visitor interaction and publishing within these sections, users should use caution when exploring content, especially as it pertains to health concerns. No content on epilepsy.com is intended to replace the care of a doctor. We encourage you to contact your own health care provider for individual medical advice. We cannot provide second opinions or make specific recommendations regarding therapy, nor does this Wiki content constitute a recommendation for any diagnosis or treatment options.

Accessing the Wiki

  • The main Wiki page, under the Resources section: Here you can find an alphabetical listing of all Wiki pages and a listing of the most recently edited Wikis. You can browse by topic to find the Wiki page that interests you the most.
  • Individual pages which have "Wiki Content" tabs near the top: Interior pages throughout epilepsy.com have a Wiki tab which you can click on to read more about the topic at hand.

Editing Wikis
If you wish to edit a Wiki entry, simply click the "edit this Wiki" link that appears near the top of the page. This will take you to an editing screen with the current content (if any) filled in. Feel free to edit other user's content, add or change details, and include any references or notes you wish to highlight. As an epilepsy.com member, you own the Wiki, so don't hesitate to add your expertise! Once you are finished editing, just click the orange "Submit" button to complete the update.
